More than 25-years ago, we began our company from packaging expertise. Since then, through hundreds of engagements with many of the world’s largest and most sophisticated high-speed packaging and manufacturing operations, we continue to innovate for global leaders in the Food, Beverage, and Consumer Products industries.
We also bring best practices across multiple industries for the benefit of each client.
By leading the industry in technical depth, solution development, application of technology, certification and documentation in innovative packaging systems and design, our clients continue to rely on our solutions, in particular, for flexible lines, complicated system designs; and unusual, hard to manufacture packages.
Our Packaging System Designs take into account the entire life-cycle cost of your investment:
Performance Specifications are a foundation to achieving overall performance criteria for any manufacturing system. E2M / Polytron builds your performance specifications – including key metrics such as, OEE, Scrap Rates, Safety, Cases Right the First Time, Sanitation – for the entire system beginning with the individual pieces of equipment and controls systems, and ending with the overall system performance specifications. You can count on us to meet these success criteria to ensure your business goals are met.
By focusing on the material flow of the entire system, we are able to increase your system throughput and reduce waste. We identify the potential bottleneck(s) in the system so that our design team is able to develop a flow diagram to maximize overall system capacity.
E2M offers a full suite of services and experience to manipulate existing and new design information for optimal system line layouts using 2D and 3D AutoCAD software. We manage the vendor relationships in order to effectively integrate and optimize vendor equipment and conveyor solutions into a layout that provides you a full system solution.
We are packaging industry experts, it is our job to understand and know the packaging industry like the back of our hand. Our experience enables us to find the right equipment from the right vendor for your packaging solution. Since we are not an equipment supplier, our objectivity ensures that you get the right equipment that meets the specifications for your application.

Marketing departments work hard to have customized products for many market segments which leads to SKU proliferation. The E2M/Polytron team works with your Marketing and Engineering groups to ensure that the package(s) developed have the most flexibility to run on the manufacturing system, and that the packaging system is designed to run the widest range of products to allow for marketing flexibility.
Flow diagrams are a basic building block for Design of a Packaging System. They are graphic representations of the operation within the system, its input materials, waste streams, and output goods. They provide a one page understanding of what must happen to get products through the Packaging System in the final desired state.
All packages and materials are not created equally; some will run better than others on a given packaging system. E2M/Polytron assists our clients with development and review of the packaging material specifications to ensure the packaging materials match up with the equipment to ensure highest system output.
Our Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) model takes into account the major factors impacting your system’s reliability (machine speeds, machine repair and failure times, accumulation amount and location, line speed, performance loss, quality loss, and planned downtimes). Coupled with the production schedule, this tool is used to provide you with an estimate of your system’s OEE – as well as identify those factors that have the most impact on improving your system. Our System Analytics team develops the model based on your actual packaging line layout.
