One Point of Control ...

The technical depth of our understanding of the entire manufacturing system spectrum allows us to provide customers with full, turnkey support and one trusted point of control and management for all power, control and information systems needs.

From inception and design, to construction, process system design and control, we are your trusted partner!

We reduce electrical breakdowns, and decrease electrical Maintenance & Repair (M&R) spending. We also develop and lead the execution of actions to prevent reoccurrence.

We optimize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV's), Automated Stores and Retrieval Storage System (ASRS), batch and continuous making operations, high speed cell assembly lines, and typical plant utility systems.

We also develop and coach other Electrical Engineers and E-techs in control system technology, problem solving techniques, and system development.

Studies, Audits and Cost Estimating

E2M/Polytron can provide the necessary power studies and automation audits in the planning stage of a project to ensure the successful integration of new equipment and technologies within today’s manufacturing systems. From short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies to complete network and automation audits, E2M/Polytron has the tools and experience to define the scope and estimate the cost for all of the power and automation requirements of world class manufacturing systems.

Specifications

We provide specifications for equipment, instruments and controls (I&C), custom developed software and installation services. During the process of developing detailed and performance related specifications, the expectations of all stakeholders is expressed and addressed to ensure that there are no surprises with the results. Further, having a well-though out and detailed performance specification and Virtual Commissioning plan will ensure that those expectations are met, and performance expectation gaps are eliminated.

Panel Design and Fabrication

We provide the complete design, fabrication, assembly and testing of MCCs and control panels per our customer’s specifications. We also offer standard panel designs available that save both time and cost by reusing proven assemblies. On many fast-track projects, our ability to provide custom control panels under a design-build arrangement allows us to reduce the overall panel delivery schedule significantly.

Installation Documentation

E2m/Polytron provides detailed electrical installation documentation including specifications, single lines, conductor schedules, circuiting plans, panel schedules, schematics, and labeling schedules. Our clients rely on the detail and preciseness of our installation packages to secure bids that are comparable in scope, and the lowest cost possible. Our well-documented change management process provides an easy method to track and manage modifications that may affect scope or schedule during the procurement and installation phases, ensuring diligent cost control.

PLC & HMI Development

Understanding the stakeholders' requirements and obtaining team alignment to the objectives of a project is essential for any project's success. Polytron follows a disciplined approach to software development that ensures deliverables for each phase of the project are approved by the customer prior to moving to the next phase.

A comprehensive User Requirements Specification (URS) that clearly articulates the teams' needs, followed by a detailed Functional Specification (FS) that describes how the software development team plans to meet the objectives, are essential building blocks for a successful project.

Virtual Commissioning

E2M/Polytron utilize a unique software quality testing plan including a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) that is based upon a virtual PolySimSM model of the manufacturing system. The quality plan begins with customer review and sign-off of any User Requirements and the Functional Design Specification (FDS) prior to the start of code development. Then the code is debugged in our office against the virtual model and the FDS to ensure the code is ready for operation. Using this PolySimsm method for developing and testing code for your system reduces the overall cost and schedule for the project.
