Our company's first monthly e-newsletter, case study, and video on "Increasing Palletizer Capacity" have gone live. "Whiteboard This" invites 1,500 packaging professionals to solve actual problems from the world's largest packaging and distribution lines.

April 2008 highlights

April 22-23,, 2008 - Rockwell's Complete Automation on the Move (CAOTM) in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Brent Stromwall, V.P. Business Development and Adam Almas, Senior Electric Engineer will co-present from 9:30 to 10:20 AM on both days. They will be speaking on "Improving Control System Improvement and Startup using simulation on both days. They will also demonstrate how PolySim models are used to test and optimize control system programming. Code for PLCs, HMIs, and your information System can be fully tested and validate.

PolySim is a suite of modeling and simulation tools that allow us to predict outomes and create effective designs. We make estimates of line operating efficiency, identify design "pinch points" and evaluate the performance of new or existing lines.

November 14 - 15, 2007 - Rockwell Automation Fair - Las Vegas, NV

We will showcase our PolySimSM services, a unique simulation and emulation capability that reduces overall project costs, provides for better trained employees, helps lessen product waste during testing and startup, and substantially shortens project timelines! We will also highlight our PolySimSM Training Station and our OEE and Static Capacity offerings.

A technical presentation on Training for the Future in Packaging/Manufacturing – Today will be given each day by Rande Allen, Project and Training Development Manager at Polytron, Inc. and Antony Brand, Simulation Engineer at E2M, Inc. They will illustrate how simulation and emulation can effectively provide operators and technicians with a training experience that empowers them to take ownership of the system at startup. The key is using Simulation and Emulation to provide interactive training on actual system control interfaces (HMIs and PLCs) prior to the actual line startup.

Our booth (#15) will showcase our PolySimSM services, a unique simulation and emulation capability that reduces overall project costs, provides for better trained employees, helps lessen product waste during testing and startup, and substantially shortens project timelines! We will also highlight our development capabilities using IAS 3.0 and InTouch 10.0 with live applications.

May 6-10, 2007 - E²M/Polytron is teaming up with Extrusion Auxiliary Services Inc. (EAS), located in Dacula, GA. in the upcoming SPE ANTEC 2007 in Cincinnati, OH. Our diverse engineering services, including Project Engineering, Project Management and Training combined with EAS' more than 50 years of extrusion experience ensure that no project or task is too large or too complex.
