We provide specifications for equipment, instruments and controls (I&C), custom developed software and installation services. During the process of developing detailed and performance related specifications, the expectations of all stakeholders is expressed and addressed to ensure that there are no surprises with the results. Further, having a well-though out and detailed performance specification and commissioning plan will ensure that those expectations are met, and performance expectation gaps are eliminated.
We provide the complete design, fabrication, assembly and testing of MCCs and control panels per our customer’s specifications. We also offer standard panel designs available that save both time and cost by reusing proven assemblies. On many fast-track projects, our ability to provide custom control panels under a design-build arrangement allows us to reduce the overall panel delivery schedule significantly.
E2M/Polytron provides detailed electrical installation documentation including specifications, single lines, conductor schedules, circuiting plans, panel schedules, schematics, and labeling schedules. Our clients rely on the detail and preciseness of our installation packages to secure bids that are comparable in scope, and the lowest cost possible. Our well-documented change management process provides an easy method to track and manage modifications that may affect scope or schedule during the procurement and installation phases, ensuring diligent cost control.
Understanding the stakeholders' requirements and obtaining team alignment to the objectives of a project is essential for any project's success. Polytron follows a disciplined approach to software development that ensures deliverables for each phase of the project are approved by the customer prior to moving to the next phase.
A comprehensive User Requirements Specification (URS) that clearly articulates the teams' needs, followed by a detailed Functional Specification (FS) that describes how the software development team plans to meet the objectives, are essential building blocks for a successful project.
E2M/Polytron utilize a unique software quality testing plan including a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) that is based upon a virtual PolySimSM model of the manufacturing system. The quality plan begins with customer review and sign-off of any User Requirements and the Functional Design Specification (FDS) prior to the start of code development. Then the code is debugged in our office against the virtual model and the FDS to ensure the code is ready for operation. Using this PolySimsm method for developing and testing code for your system reduces the overall cost and schedule for the project.

Our software development team is experienced in a multitude of automation software suppliers and Polytron is solution provider for several of the best-known technology suppliers, which ensures our development team has access to the training, certifications and support teams necessary to deploy the latest products and features.
